"It's no secret that some market experts were very skeptical, predicting the negative impact of opening of Turkey on the demand for Cyprus in the summer season of 2017. Nevertheless, the number of tourists from Russia has exceeded for the first time the level of 800 thousand and also showed an increase by 5.5%", - the Cyprus Tourism Organization notes. It is interesting to note that in the low season, the tourist flow from Russian Federation increased by 157.9% in January, by 96.3% in February, by 55.1% in March and by 21.4% in November 2017. In the most popular months - the period from May to October - the dynamics were not so strongly marked due to a lack of accommodation at the hotels of the island.
