The number of Russian tourists in Croatia increased by 11% in 2017
In 2018 Croatia intends to increase the flow of tourists from Russia by another 15%. To reach this goal the country will facilitate work with visas for tour operators and will spread advertising in Russia. As Raiko Ruzicka the Director of the Tourism Office of the Republic of Croatia in Russia told “Croatia has completed 2017 on the Russian market with good results: against 2016 the country was visited by more than 133 thousand Russian tourists (+11%), the total number of nights exceeded 955 thousand (+ 9.5%). The dynamics of growth on the Russian market is almost twice high that was recorded in 2016. According to Mr. Ruzicka, Croatia now has the goal of hosting about 150 thousand Russian tourists in 2018 (+ 15%, against 2017). The country has all the conditions for this: in 2018 there will be more regular transportation from Russia to Croatia, in addition the launching of charter programs is also discussed. "This year there are direct flights from Moscow to Split, Zagreb and Pula. In the summer season Croatia Airlines will fly again from St. Petersburg to Zagreb, from May 27 S7 airline will open a regular transportation to Pula. In addition, we expect that there will also be charter flights from Moscow", - Raiko Ruzicka added.
