The number of abroad trips of Russians increased by 30% for the first six months of 2017

“The number of trips made by Russian citizens abroad from January to June 2017 increased by 30% - up to 17.1 million”, - reported the Press-secretary of the Russian Tourist Industry Union (RCT) Irina Turina with reference to Rosstat data. The list of TOP 5 of the most popular destinations for Russians includes Abkhazia, Turkey, Finland, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Meanwhile, the tourist flow to Abkhazia increased from 1.54 to 1.67 million (plus 8%), to Turkey - 10 times, from 168 thousand to 1.63 million. On the third place is Finland, the tourist flow there grew by 18%, from 1.26 million to 1.54 trips. In the second TOP 5 most of popular destinations are China (947 thousand), Estonia (817 thousand), Poland (589 thousand), Thailand (576 thousand) and Germany (570 thousand). In the second TOP 5 the most noticeable growth have China (+33%) and Germany (+22%). The second 10 included - Italy, Spain, Georgia, United Arab Emirates, Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Greece, Lithuania, Vietnam, Czech Republic. Here the most increase we note to Czech Republic - + 56%, 237 thousand tourists, Vietnam - +50%, 265 thousand tourists, UAE - +49%, 358 thousand, Italy - +33%, 415 thousand, Georgia - +29%, 383 thousand. France took the 21-st line of the rating, hosted 220 thousand Russians in the first half of the year (plus 27%). Not a bad increase has UK - plus 22%, 121 thousand.
