The New Year's tourist flow on charter flights will be 10–20% higher than last year’s figures

It is expected that in December, Russian carriers will perform at least three thousand charter flights. Experts note that the growth in charter traffic is already significantly higher than the growth rate of regular aviation traffic in general. From October 15 to November 14, 2018, 2609 charter flights were made. Of these, 114 were delayed. The average delay rate of flights for all airlines was 4.4%. All airlines, specializing in tourist transportation, show an increase in passenger traffic. Exact data has not yet been provided, but according to preliminary information, we can say that the New Year's tourist flow on charter flights will be 10–20% higher than last year’s figures. According to data for October of this year, the volume of tourist transportation grew by 20% compared with October 2017. At the same time, in general the overall growth in the volume of transportation of regular aviation during this period was only 11%. Such dynamics of the volume of charter transportation is provided, first of all, by a significant increase in the fleets of the main carriers. According to experts, in December 2018, Russian airlines will perform at least 3 thousand charter flights. Recall that during the peak summer season, more than 4,000 charter flights per month were performed. Winter peak will be in January. It is expected that the forecast for this month will be made in mid-December.
