The flow of Russian tourists to Lithuania has reached the level of pre-crisis years
“The number of visas issued by Lithuania to Russians tourists in 2017 reached the pre-crisis level of the same period of 2013-2014”, - said Lithuanian Ambassador Remigijus Motuzas. "Of course, it is very difficult to name exact figures how many Russians visited Lithuania. But taking into account the number of issued visas to Russians, now we have reached the same level as before the crisis - 2013-2014", - specified the diplomat. According to him - "Russians are attracted to Lithuania by European quality, proximity to Russia, inexpensive services, security, as well as the factor that many locals speak Russian". "In any case, Russians find welcome in Lithuania and usually they are very happy with everything and we Lithuanians are always glad to see them", - he added. It is noted, that in 2016, according to the Federal State Statistics Service, 693 thousand Russian citizens visited Lithuania.
