The Federation Council has ratified a protocol on the extension of the visa-free zone with Norway

On Wednesday the Federation Council at a meeting ratified the Protocol of the Agreement between the Governments of Norway and the Russian Federation on the extension of mutual trips of residents of border areas of both countries. This document, in particular, allows citizens of the Russian border territories to visit Norwegian settlement Neiden by simplified procedure. After the ratification of the Protocol the whole village will enter into free zone. The agreement was signed in Oslo on November 2, 2010, the protocol was signed January 20, 2016 in Moscow.
