The demand of Russian business tourists for flying abroad increased by 19% in 2017
"Demand for flights abroad grew by 19% mainly due to the employees of pharmaceutical companies, which began to fly abroad on business trips 31% more often. The representatives of this sector most significantly increased the number of flights to Prague and Amsterdam, where broad scale business events were held in 2017 year. In addition the growing demand for international flights was connected with the opening of Turkey - a traditionally popular destination among corporate customers for conferences, seminars and other activities", - showed the analysis of business tourism agency "Aero Club". According to the analysis, the cost of flights abroad in business class decreased by 15%, in economy class - by 8%. The share of international flights with increased class of comfort amounted 4% in this year. Traditionally the most popular foreign destinations for business tourists in 2017 were Paris, London and Frankfurt. The cost of flights to Paris fell by 13% in comparison with the last year, to London - by 12%. The five leading directions in 2017 also included Munich and Minsk. Tickets in the economy class fell by 6% and the average price amounted about 11 thousand Rubles ($ 191). Within Russia the most popular areas among employees of the largest corporations are Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. Most significantly increased the number of tickets purchased to Vladivostok (+15%) while to Sochi business tourists flew 25% less than in 2016.
