The demand for holidays in Croatia grew by 15-20% in Russia
“Sales of Croatia's tours for the summer season grew by 15-20% against the last year”, - reported the Press-secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Tyurina with reference to the data of tour operators. According to Natalia Ivanova the Director of the department of Russian Express tour operator, the increase in demand is connected with the growth of Ruble exchange rate, as well as with the fact that now Russians are more inclined to rest abroad than a year ago and try to plan their trips in advance to choose a certain hotel. Some resorts were booked in winter. The Vice-president of Paks company Maxim Lobanov also confirmed that the country has the deficit of the number of rooms for several years. At the same time, according to his estimate, sales volumes are 30% more than in the previous year. In TUI Russia, the growth in demand for Croatia is less – about 10%, but at the same time the depth of sales reaches two months. The average check is 1051 Euros per person, tourists are choosing a long family vacation - 11 or more nights. The Head of Croatian department of Vand Travel company Tatiana Markova noted that the demand for the direction grew by 15-20%.
