"The best professionals in the tourism industry" were awarded in Moscow

The ceremony of awarding the winners of the All-Russian professional skill competition "The best professionals in the tourism industry" was held in Moscow on October 28. The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov, Deputy Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Nikolay Korolev, rectors of leading educational institutions, members of the Public Council of the Federal Tourism Agency, the experts and representatives of national communities of the tourism industry. This year, the federal stage of the competition was attended by 65 people from different regions of Russia, including Omsk, Astrakhan, Yaroslavl, Vologda, Moscow, Tver regions, Republic of Mordovia, Republic of Bashkortostan and from other regions of the country. Also, the Deputy Head of the Federal Tourism Agency told why this segment of industry has a “woman’s face”. “The trend, that women are working in the tourism industry is saving. The majority of the staff of the Russian tourism companies are women”, - said Nikolai Korolev. “At the international forums it is also noted, that tourism has a “woman's face”. We are holding contests among the people, who contact directly with our clients. The logic is - that a nice face with a welcoming smile should meet visitors. So, today in Russia this face is woman’s one”, - he added.
