Singapore Airlines will not fly to Moscow till year-end. On this background Russia and Iran eye possible air traffic restart.

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the management of Singapore Airlines decided to temporarily suspend flights on the route Moscow-Singapore-Moscow from March 22, 2020 to April 30, 2020.

Singapore Airlines is the national airline of Singapore, was established on May 1, 1947. Its original name is Malayan Airways. In 1972 after separation from “Malaysia-Singapore Airlines”, the airline has got the name Singapore Airlines, which is up to nowadays.

Singapore Airlines was named the "Best Asian Airline" in Russia and the CIS countries by the Business Traveller for the third year in a row. Singapore Airlines already received this Award in 2016 and 2017. The ceremony took place in Moscow on November, 15, 2018.   Business Traveller Awards are given annually for outstanding achievements and innovations in the field of business tourism. Singapore Airlines has today taken delivery of the world’s first Airbus A350-900ULR (ultra-long-range) aircraft from Airbus. It is the first of seven A350-900ULRs on firm order and will enter service on 11 October 2018, operating the world’s longest commercial flight between Singapore and Newark Liberty International Airport.

"Siberia" and "Globus" - the airline companies of the “S7 Airlines Group” – have signed a code-share agreement with “Singapore Airlines”, which provides joint flights to Singapore from a number of Russian cities”, - it is reported in the S7 statement. The passengers of “S7 Group” airplanes will be able to fly to Singapore by direct flights from Moscow airport "Domodedovo".
