Sri Lanka expects an increase of tourist flow from Russia up to 19% in the next six months
“The number of tourists from Europe visiting Sri Lanka is subsiding, in turn the number of trips from Russia is increasing”, - said the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) on Wednesday referring to the data of analyst firm ForwardKeys. According to the data, the returning of the Russians tourists on the tourism market of Sri Lanka was a noticeable trend. It is predicted, that the increase of the bookings number of tours to Southeast Asia from Russia will amount 19% in the next six months. Earlier ATOR reported that Sri Lanka has become one of the leaders among the beach destinations, which the Russians have chosen for the November holidays. In addition, according to various polls, Sri Lanka entered in the TOP 10 of the New Year holiday destinations among the Russian tourists, noted in the Association.
