Space Travel launches weekly yacht cruises in the Maldives
Russian tour operator Space Travel has introduced a new product for the Maldives: yacht cruises across the atolls. The itineraries allow guests to visit multiple islands and reefs, engage in snorkeling and diving, and anchor at various points throughout the archipelago. The operator is developing this segment in partnership with Maldivian Charter Club, a superyacht charter manager, and Time to Dive!, a specialist in dive travel. Both companies have been integrated into Space Travel’s structure, enabling the tour operator to add marine routes and active programs to its Maldives portfolio. The info was published in ATOR article in August,
Maldivian Charter Club provides access to over 100 vessels operating in the Maldives, including premium-class options, which serve as "floating resorts" for the cruise itineraries. Upon arrival, guests are met at the airport and transferred to their yacht within approximately 20 minutes. The key differentiator from a classic Maldives resort is the continuous change of locations. The program includes snorkeling, SUP surfing, kayaking, fishing, and beach landings on uninhabited islands. Additional opportunities are provided through Space Travel’s integration with Time to Dive!, which specializes in dive travel to over 50 countries. For certified divers, a dive-safari format is available, with routes and schedules tailored to seasonal conditions, currents, and migrations of large pelagic species.
The price for a weekly group cruise starts from RUB 130,000 per person (approx. $1,410) on a full-board basis. The cost covers onboard accommodation, meals, inter-atoll transfers, and the activity program.
