In May 2016, only 41 thousand Russians visited Turkey. At the same time, the figures for 2017 exceeded the results of May 2015 too - (501.1 thousand). Russia is on the first line in the list of tourists who visited Turkey in May. On the second line with 295 thousand tourists is Germany, on the third place - Georgia (235.4 thousand people). The TOP 5 also included the United Kingdom (188 thousand tourists) and Bulgaria (165 thousand). In May Turkey hosted 2.88 million foreign tourists, which is 16.2% more than a year ago. During the five months of 2017, 8.7 million foreigners visited the country, this exceeds the results of the previous year by 5.5%. Russia leads in TOP 5 with a result of 928,300 tourists, an increase is 571% over the last year's figures (a year ago from January to May 138 thousand Russians visited Turkey).
