Russia is the second in the world by the growth of out coming tourism traffic this year
According to the latest report of UNWTO World Tourism Barometer, from January to October 1.1 billion people traveled around the world. Russia is one of the countries whose out coming tourism in percentage ratio has grown most noticeably. According to UNWTO, the total tourist flow in the world for the first 10 months of this year increased by 7% against the same period of 2016 (+70 million of international arrivals). As noted in UNWTO, the high demand of international tourism to various regions of the world reflects the global economic recovery. So, the directions of Southern Europe and Mediterranean, North Africa and Middle East showed an excellent dynamics of arrivals. The tourist traffic to Southern Europe and Mediterranean region had grown by 13% with a rapid recovery of Turkey, which again returned to one of the most important destinations on the tourist map of the world due to the phenomenal comeback of Russian tourism. Russian tourist market shows one of the best dynamics of increasing of the number of international trips. According to the World Tourism Barometer, after several years of drop the number of out coming trips from Russia increased by 27% for 10 months of this year. The leader is Brazil with 33% growth of out coming tourism.
