Russia and Turkey have resumed talks on payment in rubles
“Russia and Turkey have resumed the question about the possibility for Russians of payment in Turkey in rubles”, - said the Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev to reporters in Istanbul on Sunday after a meeting with the Minister of Economy of Turkey Nihat Zeybekchi. "The discussion was resumed", - he said. The minister found it difficult to comment if such opportunity will appear by the next tourist season, noting that this question concerning the responsibilities of Central banks of the two countries. He added that the discussion about usage of national currencies in bilateral trade has resumed. "We believe that it is the right way. We have a working group of the intergovernmental panel. This is a technical question", - the minister added.
