Russia and Turkey are the most low-cost resorts of the summer
Specialists of Tutu.ru travel service analyzed the data for all purchased summer tours. The results were compared with the same period of 2018.
Today, 40% of all booked trips are purchased to Turkey. Next are Russia and Tunisia. In the beginning of last summer Russia, Turkey and Greece were on the leading positions. At the same time, Russia and Turkey had approximately equal shares in total sales - 26.3% and 23.33%. But by the results of the summer 2018, Turkey has outrun Russia in terms of the number of group tourists.
The share of Tunisia has not changed, but the Russian one has increased to 30%, and some countries were forced to seriously roll back - Greece now has 5.1% of total sales against 12.5% last year, Cyprus has 4.6% against 10.2 %. The demand for Bulgaria has declined more than two times, while the resort has risen in price by 7%. Tour operators also reported on the drop of demand on this destination.
Most of the tours for this summer went up. In particular, Russia added 30% to the price, Abkhazia - 16%. The cost of holidays increased in Spain (+ 13%), Montenegro (+ 9%), in Cyprus (+ 7%), in Italy (+ 7%). At the same time, prices for package tours in Turkey and Tunisia remained at the same level. Greece fell slightly.
The most low-cost destinations of the summer are Russia and Turkey. A package tour per person costs 30-35 thousand Rubles (413 – 482 Euros).
Three-star hotels, like a year ago, are the most popular among tourists this summer. They account 36% of all bookings of tours. The second place (26%) is occupied by four-star hotels, the third - by “no-star” hotels.
All-inclusive holidays are chosen by 44% of travelers. Over the year, their number increased by a quarter (from 35.1% to 43.7%). Tours on BB are on the second place in popularity, they were chosen by 18% of holidaymakers. Another 12% of tourists chose the hotels on HB.
