Over 910 thousand Russians will visit Greece before the end of 2017

“Over 910,000 Russians will visit Greece in 2017, which is 10-12% more than in 2016”, - reported the Director of Greek National Tourism Organization in Russia and the CIS Polikarpos Efstatiou. P. Efstatiou added that at present time the number of Russian tourists, who come after the summer period, is growing. "Many Russian tourists come on weekends for shopping, pilgrimage, historical tourism. Every year the number of such tourists increases. Moreover, the number of excursions during the rest increases", - he said. P. Efstatiou noted that at the moment Greece is paying a great attention to medical tourism. "I think that 2018 will be a year of surprises and we will try to show Greece to Russian tourist, which he did not know", - he said. P. Efstatiou stressed that the Russians consistently take the fifth line in the list of the guests of the country after Britain, Germany, France and Italy.
