More than a third of Russians choose "all inclusive" hotels for rest in Russia and abroad
“More than a third of Russian tourists choose hotels on the base of “all-inclusive” for rest in Russia and abroad due to the popularity of this format in Krasnodar Region and in the most popular countries”, - reported the Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze. "For the first time since 2014, we see a significant increase of the number of requests for 4-5-stars hotels. This year, according to major online search resources, as well as tour operators, the proportion of those who choose 4-5-stars hotels has grown by more than 50%", - she said. According to her, the tourists actively chose hotels on all inclusive base and this applies to both out coming and incoming market. "This is due to the dominant share of such areas as Krasnodar Region on the Russian market and Turkey, Greece - on the foreign directions. More than 35% of tourists have chosen all inclusive hotels. On second place are the hotels on the breakfast base, this is also about 30%. M. Lomidze noted that during the year the overall economic situation was different. "If at the beginning of the year we saw a feverish demand for early booking actions (the figures of early booking of 2017 was 120% higher than in 2016), then the sales volume was slowing down. Thus, more than 30% of the total volume of tours 2017 were sold just during the period of the early booking actions", - she underlined, adding that the early booking of winter season did not enjoy such success, but nevertheless, the figures by 20-25% higher than in the last year. The Executive Director of ATOR said that the travelers often began to order additional excursions during vacation.
