More than 60 thousand Russian tourists visited India

From January to September, Russian tourists made more than 60 thousand trips to India. The figure of 60 thousand trips beat the results of the entire 2022, when Russians made 50 thousand trips to India. In its turn, Indian citizens made 24 thousand trips to Russia this year. The data was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach.

The Deputy Minister also expressed hope that Indian tourists will become more active in visiting Russia, since India is included in the list of 55 countries for which a single electronic visa for entry into the Russian Federation is available. This visa provides from August 1 a stay in Russia of up to 16 days.

In addition, nowadays, the certain work is currently underway on a draft agreement between the governments of Russia and India on visa-free group tourist trips.
