Ministry of Health: the number of Russians who go abroad for treatment has decreased noticeably for 2.5 years

“The number of Russians going abroad for specialized medical care has decreased several times for the past two and a half years”, - said the Head of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation Veronika Skvortsova at the forum "Amazing in Russian Healthcare". According to the minister, the number of those who go to Germany has decreased by more than six times, to Israel - in dozens of times. “At the same time, the volume of incoming "medical tourism" has significantly increased, not only to Moscow and St. Petersburg: citizens of Kazakhstan come to Orenburg and Orsk, residents of Scandinavia come to Petrozavodsk and Kaliningrad”, - V. Skvortsova noted. "German pensioners come to us with the help of German insurance companies because we provide high-quality medical care, the neighbors from the Mediterranean come to us from the East", - the minister added.
