Visa center of Lithuania is open in Kaliningrad
On August 1, a visa center of Lithuania was opened in Kaliningrad, which is serviced by VFS Global, according to the the press service of the company. Another Lithuanian visa center in the region will be opened in Sovetsk at the end of August this year. Visa centres apply a service fee (15.9 euros) additionally to the cost of a visa (35 euros).
"The Kaliningrad Visa Application Center is one of the 18 Lithuanian visa centers which already operate in Russia: in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Krasnodar, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Perm, Saratov and Smolensk. During 2019 and 2020, VFS Global will further expand the network of Lithuanian visa centers in Russia by opening 42 new centers," the statement said.
"On August 22, it is planned to open a visa center in the city of Sovetsk, Kaliningrad Region, which is located in close proximity to the Lithuanian border. Now the applicants will have a choice: to file documents in Kaliningrad or in Sovetsk. They still have the opportunity to apply to the Consulate General in Kaliningrad. For this, it is necessary for applicants to pre-register through the official website of the Consulate," said Skinderskis, Consul General of Lithuania in Kaliningrad.
