It is noted an increase by 13% of the number of Russians visiting Georgia

“In January-November 2016 Georgia was visited by 980.8 thousand Russian citizens, which is 13.1% more than in the same period of the last year”, - according to the data of the information-analytical department of the Georgian Interior Ministry. In November 2016 the number of visitors from Russia increased by 9.8% against November 2015 – up to 60.6 thousand people. By the number of people, who visited Georgia for the first 11 months of this year, Russia keeps the fourth position after Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey. Totally during the first 11 months of 2016 Georgia was visited by 5 million 864.7 thousand foreigners, which is 7.9% more than in the same period of 2015. Among them 2 million 536.8 thousand were tourists (19.3% growth), 1 million 246 thousand people (5% reduction) visited the country by transit way, the other 2 million 81.9 thousand are the visitors of other categories, which number increased by 4.3%.
