Interest for tours to East Asia is growing in Russia

Such data follows from the statistics of search requests in Yandex for July, analyzed by the Analytical Service of ATOR. Over the past month the search interest for the countries of East Asia has grown by 12% and by 14% interest for Europe has fallen. As a result, the share of requests for East Asian countries (including South-East Asia) in Yandex was 9.6%. The share of searching for tours in Russia also increased in July by 40% more than a month earlier. Totally in July 2017 Russian users of Yandex made 9,097,647 requests for tours - this is 7.7% more than in the previous month. Against July 2016 the total number of searches increased by 19.9% and the number of requests for last minute tours - by 38.9%. The leading foreign destinations which were requested by Yandex users in July 2017 were Turkey (37.7%), Greece (5.3%), Thailand (4.6%), Turkey (37%), Tunisia (4.5%), Cyprus (4.4%), Italy (3%) Abkhazia (2.9%), Spain (2.8%), Bulgaria (2.7%) and Egypt (2.5%). The best growth dynamics for June of the last year was demonstrated by Egypt (71%), Byelorussia (183%), Armenia (147) and Cuba (80%). Interest for European countries fell by 14%, such tours were searched in 22.2% of cases. In July Turkey remained the most frequently requested foreign destination for holiday, plus 9.1% more of search requests. In comparison with July 2016, tours to this country were searched by 53.3% more often. The share of the direction in the total volume of search requests was 37.7%. In July, Greece remained the second place in the list of the most frequently requested destinations for foreign holidays, but the volume of search requests decreased by 1.7% and against the same period of the last year - by 25.2%.
