In October 2016 Antalya was visited by more number of Russian tourists against the year before

In October the Antalya airport recorded the arrival of 129.5 thousand Russian tourists. In the same month of the previous year, this number amounted 126.6 thousand, an increase is - 2.5%, "In the segment of organized tourism Russia was the sole country among the abroad markets, which showed growth, while the other European markets showed double-digit drop. So, the number of package tours from Germany declined by 22%, from Scandinavia - 41%, UK - 24 %, the Netherlands - 24%, Belgium and Austria - 38%, Poland - 28%, France - 95%", - said in a statement. “The fall in the Russian market until September 2016 was the biggest – up to 89%. Active return of the Russians after the resumption of charter flights has allowed Turkey to soften the overall negative statistics: in the period from January to September Turkey was missing 84% of Russian tourists. In January-September Turkey was visited by 544 thousand Russians, and for the first nine months of the last year the figure was 3.3 million people”, - according to the Turkish Ministry of Tourism data.
