In June the demand of Ural tourists for rest in Turkey increased by a quarter
“The demand of Ural tourists for tours to Turkey in June grew by 25.6% in comparison with the same period of the last year”, - said the President of the Urals Tourism Association Maxim Puzankov.
According to him, the average cost of a trip to Turkey for one person was about 36.7 thousand Rubles.
"We are noting the demand for Turkey due to the fact that the price-quality ratio is balanced, plus we had a period of deferred demand when we did not fly there”, - said M. Puzankov.
Meanwhile, the expert notes a significant decrease of tourists' interest for other destinations. Thus, the tourists flow to Greece declined by more than a quarter, to Spain - by 17.5%. Cyprus lost most of all, its popularity among Russians in June declined by 46.3%.
"All these directions are significantly more expensive than the Turkish one - minimum by 10 thousand Rubles, if we talk about one person", - added M. Puzankov.
He noted that at the same time the cost of proposals for all directions has increased this year. Against June 2017 the average price of a package tour to Turkey increased by 19%, to Greece - by 9.7%, to Cyprus - by 11.4%.
According to him, the share of sales of domestic tours does not exceed 10% of the total volume. Two years ago, before the opening of Turkey, this figure was more than 23%. According to the Executive Director of the Urals Tourism Association Mikhail Maltsev, the growth of the tourist flow within the country can be expected when the Crimean Bridge will be fully built.
