In 2018 more than 850 thousand Russians have already visited Spain

Russian tourist flow to Spain continues to show positive dynamics. For the first 8 months of 2018, about 854 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation visited the country. The TOP-3 countries in structure of the number of arrivals included the UK (12.9 million tourists, -2.9% compared with the same period in 2017), France (8.3 million guests, which corresponds to the figure for the same period last year) and Germany (7.7 million people, -5.8%). The number of Russian arrivals in January-August 2018 was 854.6 thousand, which is 4.9% more than for the eight months of 2017. By this indicator, the Russian Federation is in the TOP-10 of incoming markets in Spain. Despite currency fluctuations, the tourist flow from Russia in August increased by 0.8%, reaching 173.2 thousand people. According to Russian tour operators, Spain, thanks to the diversity of offers, is in steady demand on the Russian market. So, according to Biblio-Globus tour operator, the demand for tours to Spain for the autumn dates now already exceeds by 27% the figures for the whole autumn period of 2017. “Therefore, we can already say that the season will be even more successful than last year. The sales depth in the direction is impressive and already reaches March 2019,” stressed the tour operator’s press service. In the top tourist demand for this autumn period are the resorts of Costa Dorada, Costa Brava, Costa del Maresme, as well as the island resorts of Tenerife. Barcelona remains as the undisputed leader for sightseeing holidays. The minimum cost of tours to Spain for the autumn dates of 2018 with air travel, transfer and hotel accommodation for 7 nights starts from 38,000 Rubles (502 Euros). The average duration of tours to Spain is 7-10 or more nights.
