Hotels, which Russian tourists choose when traveling abroad this summer

Tourists from Russia mostly prefer to accommodate at 5-star hotels. This is primarily concern Turkish and Egyptian destinations for recreation. This variant of stay is in the most demand. As a result, this summer the share of those wishing to spend their holidays in the most comfortable conditions increased from 27 to 45%.

“Tourists most often choose to stay in Turkey at five-star hotels on all-inclusive basis, despite significant rise of prices. Such a holiday has risen in price by an average of one and half times,” said Oleg Kozyrev, marketing director of the tour search and booking service Travelata.ru.

Last year, due to covid restrictions, Turkey opened only on June 20, so Russian resorts became the leader of bookings in the middle of the summer.

In third place in popularity is Egypt. It is quite hot in the country of the pyramids in summer, so travelers do not often choose such a vacation. Last year, Cyprus was on the third line.

In the autumn season, specialists expect an increase in the popularity of such destinations as Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the Maldives, and Thailand.

In addition, Turkey will retain its leadership in sales in the autumn 2022.
