Hong Kong Airlines resumes direct flights from Hong Kong to Moscow
Hong Kong Airlines announced the new flight program from Hong Kong to Moscow. Direct flights will be carried out from Vnukovo airport by Airbus 330-300 three times a week from May 18 till October 27, 2018. Recall, a few years ago the carrier terminated this route, later Transaero airline stopped to fly on this rout too. Currently the non-stop flights to Hong Kong from Moscow are performed only by Aeroflot. As observers noted, most likely the resumption of flights is connected with the World Cup 2018 in Russia. "The Russian market is not the main one for Hong Kong Airlines. The flights have the status of charter, they mainly served Chinese tourists", - said Anastasia Vitushinskaya, the Executive Director of China Travel. According to her, for Russian tour operators these flights would be interesting for creating of combined tours Hong Kong - Sanya. However, Hong Kong Airlines slots are inconvenient for connecting flights.
