Greece promises to issue long-term visas in the case of active use of the first visa
“Greece continues to simplify the visa regime for Russian citizens”, the Greek Tourism Minister Eleni Kundura reported at the Third International Tourism Exhibition in Athens. "In the case of active use of the first visa, which is usually issued for a period from three to six months, the next time the visa will be issued for a period from three to five years", she said. According to E.Kundura, "this project worked very well in current year, we issued three- and five-years visas in order to facilitate the organization of leisure for tourists". Answering the question about the expansion of the visa-free entry program for a number of Greek islands for a short time from the neighboring countries, the Minister of Tourism said that "such decisions are taken at the European level, but the Greek side seriously takes this into account and monitors how well things are going in this direction".
