Greece has already been visited by more than 800 thousand Russian tourists.

Russian tourist flow to Greece remains stable. According to statistics from Greek airports, in total for 10 months of 2018 more than 824 thousand Russian arrivals were recorded in the country's air harbors, which generally correspond to the figures for the same period last year. According to the Russian representative office of the Greek National Tourist Organization (GNTO), the trend for the growth of Russian traffic to Athens airport continues, which means that more and more of the Russians go to the Athens Riviera, Evieu, Cyclades and Peloponnesus, and not just to major popular islands, where charters are flying. For 10 months of 2018, more than 130 thousand Russian arrivals were recorded at the Athens airport. This is almost 43% more compared to the same period of 2017. At the same time, the regional airports of Greece, thanks primarily to the programs of Russian tour operators, still account the largest share of tourist arrivals from the Russian Federation: almost 694 thousand tourists (84%). According to the GNTO, in 2018 the Russian tourist flow to Greece will be slightly higher than in 2017 (about 900 thousand people). For January - October of 2018 year, the number of tourists from the Russian Federation grew by 0.1%. The tourist office of Greece does a lot to promote tours in the winter season.
