For May holidays, number of passengers at the airports of Moscow grew by 4%
During May holidays, Moscow airports have increased the number of passengers compared to the same period of the last year by 4.1%, according to the Federal Air Transport Agency website.
According to the report, from May 1 till May 4, airports of Moscow served 845.3 thousand passengers against 811.9 thousand people a year earlier.
The leader in passenger traffic among the three Moscow airports was Sheremetyevo, which handled 336.4 thousand passengers for the first four days of May, followed by Domodedovo who served 323.5 thousand people. Vnukovo airport served 185.4 thousand people.
According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, Vnukovo showed an increase in passenger traffic (+ 37.4%), and Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo showed a slight decline - by 2.9% and 2.2%, respectively.
The total number of passengers carried from Moscow airports in the first four days of May made up 468,5 thousand people (an increase of 3% compared to last year).
