“Flights to Greece in the summer of 2017 will be performed from 18 Russian cities”, - said Polikarpos Evstafiu the Head of the Greek National Tourist Organization in Moscow. "Flights to Greece will be carried out from 18 cities, including all major cities. We try to organize - where we have visa centers - direct flights. Now there are the direct flights to Athens, Crete, Kos, Rhodes, Zakynthos, Corfu. In the nearest future the flights from St. Petersburg to Kavala airport will be launched. It is an important strategic position, since it will cover the entire region from Alexandroupolis to Halkidiki”. P.Evstafiu added that the last year was very successful for Greece. "Over 850 thousand Russian tourists visited the country, whereas in 2015 - 550 thousand. It was very important to extend the tourist season, because the Russian tourists came even in November", - he said.
