Experts figured out how Russians choose ski resorts
Most Russian tourists said, when choosing a ski resort, first of all they pay attention to the height of mountains and weather conditions (50%) at the resort, as well as a variety of tracks for different levels of skiing (44%). These are the results of a survey, which was conducted by online booking service Ostrovok.ru, in which more than 1,000 tourists took part.
In this case, women, unlike men, think that it is more important that the resort has a large number of tracks suitable for clients with different levels of skiing - 53% against 41%, respectively.
The third most important factor for Russians are the cost of ski passes, equipment rental and other services - 34% of tourists say that they take these services into account when choosing a destination for outdoor activities. It is noteworthy that women pay attention to the cost of these services more often than men - 38% against 32%, respectively.
According to Ostrovok.ru data, the development of the resort’s infrastructure is a significant factor for 28% of tourists. Another 20% note that it is especially important for them how convenient it is to get to the resort from airport.
Only 13% of tourists called the proximity of the hotel to the lifts and tracks as the key factor in choosing of a ski resort.
Russian tourists give even less importance to the availability of restaurants, bars and other entertainment at the resort - so-called apres-ski is an important condition for only 10% of tourists. At the same time, the evening entertainment turned out to be more necessary for the interviewed men than for women - 11% and 7% voted for them, respectively.
