Every third tourist in Antalya is from Russia
In August the Russian tourist flow to Antalya exceeded the volume of 2014. In the last summer month the main Turkish resort was visited by 654 thousand Russian tourists. Antalya authorities summed up the results of the first 8 months of 2017. According to the authorities of the resort, during this period 6, 97 million foreign tourists rested in Antalya, which is 66% more than in 2016. The TOP 5 markets for Antalya include Russia (38.19% of the total tourist flow), Germany (15.56%), Ukraine (7.83%), Great Britain (3.61%) and Kazakhstan (2.97%). Turkey continues to lose tourists from the West European market. The number of German tourists this year fell by 18%, Danish - by 17%, Swedish - by 36%, Norwegian - by 40%, Austrian - by 41%, Finnish - by 48%, Dutch by 23%. But, as statistics show, the Russian market this year in Antalya has no competitors. During the first 8 months 2.66 million of Russians visited the resort. This is 2536% higher than the data for the same period in 2016. Against 2015 the Russian market added 22.6% and came close to the more successful 2014. In August Antalya was visited by 1.76 million foreign tourists. Thus, every third tourist was from Russia.
