During May holidays a record number of tourists from Russia will arrive in Antalya

With reference to airport data, it is reported in Turkey that the Russian tourist flow to Antalya in the first 10 days of May will reach a record level of 2014. Only from April 29 to May 1, airlines made 150 flights from Russia to Antalya, delivering about 30,000 Russian tourists to the resort. As previously reported, Turkey became the absolute leader for the May dates. ATOR estimates that at least 30-35% of all tourists who travel abroad during this period will go to Turkey. According to the airports of Antalya and Alanya, in April totally 526 thousand foreign visitors visited Anatolian coast (+ 37% to the level of 2016 year). Thus, in April every third tourist in Antalya was a Russian one. Commenting this fact, the Turkish press calling Russians as "great tourists" and "the main driving force" of this season. Based on the growth rate of the number of foreign tourists, Antalya hopes that this year the resort will be visited by 7.5 - 8 million tourists from abroad and at least half of these tourists will come from Russia.
