Czech Republic hopes on the 30% growth of tourist flow from Russia in 2017
“The number of tourists from Russia to Czech Republic may increase by one third in 2017 in comparison with the last year”, - said the Head of the national tourism department of Czech Republic, Alain Kudilkova. "We are very pleased that after the crisis fall the tourist flow from Russia to Czech Republic began to recover. We noticed growth already in November 2016 and, according to statistics for the first quarter of 2017, the increase of the number of tourists from Russia was about 45% against January-March period of the last year. We hope that by the end of the year the growth will be about 30%", - added A.Kudilkova at the presentation of the South Moravia region. She noted that the number of tourists from Russia, rested in the hotels of Czech Republic in the first quarter of this year, was 130 thousand people. Such directions as Prague and Karlovy Vary are very popular among Russians. Most tourists come to the country from Germany, the Russian market is the second after German. On average, Russian tourists come to the Czech Republic for six days. Those, who come not only for the rest, but for treatment too, stay here two or three weeks. She recalled that in 2016 Czech Republic was visited by about 400 thousand Russians. According to Rosstat, in the first quarter of 2017 the country is on the 17-th line in the list of the most popular abroad destinations for Russians.
