Cyprus: the results for three months of 2018

“The tourist flow to Cyprus in January-March 2018 increased by 29.3% in comparison with the same period of the last year and amounted 369.4 thousand tourists”, - according to the Cyprus Mail newspaper. According to the publication, in March the island was visited by 192 thousand tourists, which is 36.4% more than in March 2017. According to the number of arrivals of foreign tourists, the highest growth was shown by tourists from Germany - arrivals in March 2018 increased by 107.3% against the same month of the last year. Also the significant growth showed Russia (+ 13.7%), Great Britain (+ 24.8%) and Israel (+ 53.6%). According to the newspaper, in March Cyprus was most popular among tourists from the UK, they accounted 35.5% of arrivals, on the second line is Russia (11.8%), then are Germany (9.8%) and Israel (8%). In 2017 Cyprus was visited by 869 thousand Russian tourists.
