Cyprus continues to issue national visas to Russians free of charge
Cyprus is opened to Russian tourists. From March 1, 2022, the tourist protocols of Cyprus have practically returned to the conditions of the summer season 2021: Russians vaccinated with WHO and EMA approved vaccines, as well as Sputnik V and Sputnik Light, only need a vaccination certificate to enter Cyprus.
Russians will need a visa to travel to Cyprus (part of the EU). Due to the suspension of direct flights between Russia and Cyprus, the consulates of the Republic of Cyprus temporarily do not issue visas.
However, Russian tourists have the opportunity to apply for a national visa of the Republic of Cyprus.
The Russian representative office of the Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus said that in order to apply for a national visa, tourist will need a standard package of documents (passport, certificate of employment or bank statement), as well as a copy of a voucher for accommodation from a hotel in Cyprus.
For citizens of Russia, visas of all categories are issued free of charge.
In the absence of direct flights from Russia to Cyprus, in the second half of April tourist can get from Moscow to Larnaca with a change in Belgrade (from 556 Euros one way), Dubai (from 997 Euros one way), Doha (3 060 Euros for one). There are also opportunities for connecting flights in Tel Aviv (from 1 041 Euros) and Bahrain (from 470 Euros).
