Croatia expands its offers of tours

Russian tourist flow to Croatia this year shows a positive trend, the demand exceeds the last year’s figures. In many ways, paradoxically, the growth of Croatia was provided by Turkey. This was stated by Raiko Ruzicka, the head of the representative office of tourism of the Republic of Croatia in Russia.
Croatia for the period from January 1 to September 15, 2019 hosted 137 thousand Russian tourists, which is 12% higher than the same period last year. The number of night stays also increased by 4% against last year.
At the same time, according to Raiko Ruzicka, Croatia is actively expanding the capacity of the hotel base: new hotels are opening that attract Russian tourists. The expert expresses the hope that in 3-4 years Croatia will completely resolve the issue with an insufficient number of accommodation facilities for Russian tourists.
Raiko Ruzicka, among the positive factors influencing the growth of tourist flow, also noted the development of new areas of Croatia.
“Croatia is not only a beach, as many are used to thinking, but also an area of other types of tourism. And we are actively engaged in its promotion and are already seeing the result: the tourist flow to Zagreb has grown by 18%,”says Mr. Ruzicka.
