China will extend visa-free regime with Russia until the end of 2027
Starting September 15, 2025, China introduced a one-year visa-free regime for Russian citizens. In response, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree granting visa-free entry to Russia for Chinese citizens.
Chinese Foreign Ministry representative Guo Jiakunannounced that China will extend the visa-free regime with Russia until December 31, 2027. According to the diplomat, the decision was made to "further simplify people-to-people exchanges between China and Russia." Russians with regular passports can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, business, visiting relatives and friends, and transit.
Russia and China will continue their mutual visa-free regime, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced during talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
