Bulgaria will send more staff to the Russian consulate in hope of growing tourist flow
Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria will increase the number of employees at consulates in Moscow and St. Petersburg, since they expect an increase in last minute bookings, according to the Bulgarian portal News.bg.
New employees will be hired also from local residents. Also, additional staff will be hired in the consular offices in Kiev, Odessa, Kishinev, Minsk, Tehran, Beirut, Astana, Tbilisi, Istanbul and Bursa.
The Ministry of Tourism will get 331 thousand leva (about $ 188 thousand) from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the recruitment and payment of additional staff work.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism of the country, in 2014, from June to August, Bulgaria was visited by about 480 thousand Russians.
Yury Mishchenko, graduated from Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages, has more than 15 years experience in tourism and travel. Working both in tour operator company as destination manager, and in travel agency as sales manager, he is focused on analysis of Russian tour operators’ daily routine.
