Bulgaria expects to increase the tourist flow from Russia by 40% in the summer 2017
“Bulgaria and Russia will work together to increase Russian tourist traffic in the summer 2017 by 40%”, - reports the website of the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria after the meeting between the Minister Nikolina Angelkova and the Head the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov. “Last summer, Bulgaria has noted the growth of tourist flow from Russia by 40%. On this basis, it was decided to work towards the same growth for the summer 2017", - said the Minister. At the end of February or beginning of March will be organized a joint Bulgarian-Russian roundtable on mutual tourism. The parties also agreed on other steps to work together, including meetings between the representatives of business and local authorities of both sides. "Russia is one of the most important tourist markets for our industry. For the period from January to November 2016 it is on the forth place by the number of tourists visiting Bulgaria - more than 570 thousand people", - the Minister added.
