Bavaria is in the lead among the regions of Germany by popularity among Russian tourists
“For the first quarter of 2017 the tourists flow from Russia to Bavaria increased by 20%, up to 187.5 thousand people. Among other federal states of Germany this region is the most popular for Russian tourists”, - said the Head of the Russian RepOffice of the National Office of tourism of Germany Alla Belikova. "In the first quarter of 2017, the number of Russian tourists visited Bavaria has reached 187.2 thousand, it increased by 20% against the same period of the last year. Berlin, with 112 thousand Russian tourists, is on the second place, on the third - is the land of North Rhine-Westphalia (80 thousand tourists)", - she said. The Press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RCT) Irina Tyurina said that Germany is consistently among the TOP 10 most popular foreign destinations among Russian tourists. Last year, there were 1.1 million Russians. According to her, in recent months the tour operators note a significant recovery in this direction after a serious recession connected with the economic crisis and the weakening of the ruble. In the first quarter of 2017, the out coming flow from Russia grew by 44%, and to Germany - by 39.4%.
