“For the first time since 2014, the tour operators noted an increase of out coming tourist flow at New Year holiday against the last year”, - said the Executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze on Tuesday.
"In comparison with the last year it has increased in the range of 10-15%. The final sales results will be announced in late January, but now all the tour operators and agencies talk about an increase in demand" - noted M. Lomidze.
According to the estimated data of ATOR, up to 400 thousand Russians could rest abroad during the holiday season.
The leading destinations become visa-free countries with warm climates: Thailand, Vietnam, the Dominican Republic and Israel.
"The lack of Egypt affected positively on almost all top areas", - added M. Lomidze.
According to her, the growth is marked in the ski destinations. It is noted that the number of independent tourists skiers was increased too.
