Almost 100 thousand Russians visited Turkey in March

“97,400 Russians visited Turkey in March, which is 66% more than in the same period a year earlier”, - according to the statistics of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the country. In total in March Turkey hosted 2.1 million foreign visitors - 35% more than in March 2017. The first line by the number of visits of the country is occupied by Iranian citizens (388,000). Leaders are also Germany (220 thousand), Georgia (168 thousand) and Bulgaria (146 thousand). Russians are on the fifth line. According to statistics, in March most tourists visited Istanbul - 50%, Antalya - 11%, Edirne -10%, Artvin - 9% and Agra - 5%. Earlier Turkish authorities reported that they expect to host 6 million tourists from Russia this year. In total Turkey is waiting for 38 million foreign visitors - 17% more than a year earlier.
