“About 90% of Schengen visas issued by the Consulate of Spain in Moscow in 2017 are long-term and multiple”, - said the Consul of Spain Juan-Pedro Pérez-Gomez Delaunay. He said that totally in 2017 the Consulate issued 476 thousand visas, which is 7% more than a year earlier. "At the same time, the time for issuing visas for Russians, who are planning a trip in the next two weeks, is not much as five days, but in reality it takes 48 hours", - the consul underlined. Spanish Ambassador to Russia Ignacio Ibáñez Rubio, in his turn, told why the Russian tourists are especially pleased guest. "The first reason is that Russians during holiday in Spain do not create any problems, they integrate very well. The second is that tourists from Russia spend on average more money than the guests from other countries. The duration of their stay is also higher. And a lot of Russian tourists are returning ones", - he stressed.
