A Norwegian low-cost airline will connect the capitals of Georgia and Denmark
Norwegian low-cost carrier Norwegian will begin operating direct scheduled flights on the Copenhagen-Tbilisi-Copenhagen route starting June 27, 2026, the Union of Georgian Airports announced.
According to the Union, for the first time in history, flights between the capitals of the Kingdom of Denmark and Georgia will operate twice a week.
The Union successfully completed the final round of proactive negotiations with the air carrier. There had previously been no direct scheduled air service between the two capitals. A direct flight from Georgia to Copenhagen was operated via Kutaisi International Airport.
In 2024, 32,384 passengers used direct flights between Denmark and Georgia. A total of 22,552 tourists from Scandinavian countries visited Georgia in 2024.
