4.65 million Russians visited Turkey from January to November

“During the first 11 months of 2017, 4.65 million Russian tourists visited Turkey”, - according to statistic data published by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the country. For 11 months of 2015 the country has hosted 3.6 million visitors from Russia and a year ago - only 822 thousand Russians, since the direction was closed for mass tourism from January to August. According to the experts, the flow of tourists from Russia to Turkey in 2017 reached a record level. By the number of tourist after Russia are Germany with 3.5 million people, Iran (2.3 million) and Georgia (2.2 million). Totally for 11 months of 2017, 30.7 million foreign visitors came to Turkey, which is 27.7% more than a year ago. In November Turkey hosted almost 1.7 million foreign tourists, which is 22.1% more than in the same period of the last year. The tourist flow from Russia in November increased by 48.1% in comparison with the same period of 2016.
