Yekaterinburg is the capital of Ural Federal District. This is the city where on the same street about 100 travel agencies might be located. The most popular tour operators in the region are: Pegas Touristik, Coral Travel, Natalie Tours, Tez Tour, Anex. There is also big local tour operator Vedi Tour Group. Except individual travel agents and agents working under the brand of one of the federal agency network, there are big local agency networks: Ross Tour and Kleo Tour who have most of the offices in Ural, and some offices in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and other cities of Russia.
The most significant cities from tourism point of view are: Verkhny Tagil, Nizhny Tagil, Pyshma, Kirovograd, Krasnoural'sk, Pervouralsk, Sukhoi Log, the population of these cities is from 70 000 to 400 000 people.
Koltsovo airport is also used by the citizens of Perm and Chelyabinsk. Ural region has its own airline, Ural Airline, who has daily flights to Moscow and major cities of Ural and Russia. Most of the charter flights from the region are organized with Ural Airlines.
There is annual tourism exhibition which is held every spring, "Summer".

Almost all major tour operators of Russia have their offices or representatives in the city. Before 2015, the direct flights from Chelyabinsk were organized to all popular mass destinations. The exotic destinations were offered only with flights from Moscow. Although there are about 12 daily flights from Balandin airport to different airports of Moscow.
The most significant towns of Chelyabinsk region are: Magnitogorsk, Miass Chebarkul. Travel agents from Chelyabinsk usually visit the annual tourism fair in Yekaterinburg, Summer Fair. Most of the tour operators organize their own presentations for travel agents in the city.

Previously, there were organized charter flights of the majority of tour operators of Russia, but in the last two years the operators reduced their programs from the region, re-directing tourists on tours with departures from Yekaterinburg.
The major cities of the Tyumen region include Noyabrsk, Yugorsk, Vikulovo and others which population numbers from 20 000 to 150 000 people and the number of travel agencies is on average from 15 to 80.
