Ukrainian sanctions not affect ticket prices for the Russians, according to the Ministry of Transport
Since last summer, Russian flights in the direction of popular European destinations do not pass over the territory of Ukraine, so the new Kiev sanctions will not affect the cost of tickets for the Russians, the Transport Minister of Russia Maxim Sokolov said.
"Today, our airlines actually do not fly over the territory of Ukraine, as well as Ukrainian air companies are also not present in the transit space of Russia," Maxim Sokolov stressed in an interview to program "Vesti on Saturday" on the TV channel "Russia 1". The minister said, that now the flights to popular resorts in Turkey and Bulgaria are operated "on our territory," not over Ukraine.
"This is a slight increase in flight time about 20-30 minutes which is quite sensitive, but in terms of ticket prices, has long been an established fact," the head of the Ministry of Transport added.
